A brief description of the compost tumbler I made my wife for her birthday! Ain't I a hopeless romantic? LOL For all you single guys out there, you know you've got a good woman if she can actually appreciate a birthday gift like this without throwing you out on the street!
Here is part 2 assembly of the Lifetime compost tumbler we bought. This video shows how I assembled it. You may experience something different. The hinges I installed the same way if your not careful the lid will fall off. I wanted to be able to completely remove the lid. If you want you can install the hinge pins in opposite directions. That way the lid is on for good and the only way to remove it is to take the screws out. This video is not a review. We have had these for over a year now and there is a review video coming. Thank you for watching and please rate my video.

Learn more about composting - Click here: compostingtumblers.net When it comes to making your own compost tumbler one of the key things to remember is aeration. This is because the bacteria that will break down the materials you place in yours need oxygen to carry out the process of aerobic respiration. If they are unable to do this then of course you won't be creating rich compost for your garden.
This is a video showing the end result after 5 months of leaf, grass, and table scraps being broken down in our compost tumbler. We explain that its important to shred the material if possible before you place it in the compost tumbler to break down. Today we will be putting together the Lifetime Dual Compost Tumbler. First things first, this is not a product review video. This is a how to assemble video. All of the reviews of the Lifetime composters I have seen say that they are great composters but are a pain to put together. The instructions only come with pictures and while every part has a part number in the instructions, only half of the parts have corresponding numbers. The first barrel took me about two hours to assemble because of the learning curve and cussing involved. The rest took me another two hours. Knowing what I know now, I am sure that it would only take me an hour and a half to assemble the whole thing. I took video of every step showing the instructions and me performing that step. Take out your instructions and watch this video series before you unpack anything else. BTW, I assembled this composter in the living room after everyone else went to bed. That is why I am talking very softly. With that, let's start with step seven.
